I had planned to establish a focus group. The idea was to gather information early on about what students want to get out of the subject and what they think of flipped learning. However, we could not find a suitable time convenient to everyone, so we switched approach. The assistant and I developed a short bank of questions to be delivered via Survey Monkey. Results will help us determine whether tutorial structure and dynamic need to be adjusted as the semester progresses. We will repeat the process mid-semester and also at the end to determine overall student responses to and satisfaction with flipped learning.
